If I Can’t Dance - Dancing with Parkinsons (short doc)
A film by Mikael Manoukian/Ear of the Eye Productions
In Partnership with Last Name Left Productions & Bowen McCauley Dance

A short documentary highlighting the health benefits of modern dance movement on the physical, mental, and spiritual well being of adults with Parkinson's disease. (Official Selection of the 2010 Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival).

Zebrafish: Practically People
A film by Jennifer A. Manner

Zebrafish have most of the same organs, tissues and cells as people, but because they are small and transparent we can study the behavior of cells within the context of the entire organism. These small, transparent fish yield large quantities of statistically accurate, reliable and fast data for disease modeling and drug screening. The implications for medical research and scientific advancement are astounding. (12 film festival submissions in 2018 and counting ... including American Pavilion, Emerging Filmmaker Showcase, Cannes Film Festival)

If Not for Me; Children and Clinical Studies
A film by Sheila Curran Dennin and Mary Margaret Productions, Inc.

75% of the medications children take have not been tested in children. Often, medications are simply adjusted for weight, or "cut in half," and given to them. But children are not little adults…the way they react to treatments for diseases can be vastly different than adults may. Research is needed so that we can properly care for our children. If Not for Me; Children and Clinical Studies tells the story of four families in which a child is involved in a clinical study. As they share their experiences, we see the role research and clinical trials play in improving treatments of childhood illnesses, revealing the emotional challenges they face as they tell their stories of what led them to agree to participate in a study, and what their experiences are like. The film also features physicians and practitioners in the medical community who are committed to research and clinical trials which are specifically for children. The film was produced in the DMV by Mary Margaret Productions, Inc. for New England Research Institutes, in collaboration with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).  (Winner of Bronze Telly Award for TV Shows and 2017 Communicator Award)
